VISION AND CITY DEVELOPMENT
“New housing must be built together with new roads, pavements, schools, green spaces and services.”
PROBLEM
The rapid increase in residential construction is putting pressure on transport, schools, parking, public spaces and services. The city’s growth must be managed so that it does not reduce the quality of life of existing residents.
OUR GOAL
Sensitive and responsible city development with infrastructure that matches new construction.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
For significant changes to the land-use plan, we will require new development to have the necessary infrastructure in place. We will connect the satellite parts of the city with one another and with the city centre.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will establish a responsible approach to changes to the land-use plan and prepare its digitisation.
- We will support the construction of municipal rental housing.
- For major projects, we will involve residents in decision-making before fundamental decisions are taken.
- We will create the position of chief city architect, responsible for creating a design manual for public spaces.
- We will continue the revitalisation of the city and housing estates, with due regard for accessibility, safety and rainwater-retention measures.
- For major projects, we will publish their expected impact on transport, schools, parking and other infrastructure.
- We will require major development projects to respect their surroundings and the city’s capacities.

TRANSPORT
“The journey to school must no longer be a risk for children.”
PROBLEM
Transport in Senec is becoming increasingly intensive. Parking is complicated, some streets are overloaded, and safe pedestrian and cycling connections between the town and surrounding localities are still missing.
OUR GOAL
Safer and calmer traffic, more understandable parking rules, and better conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
We will merge parking zones B1, B2 and B3 into one Zone B and simplify parking rules for residents.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will enter into negotiations with ŽSR and the Bratislava Self-Governing Region on the renewal of the railway station platform and building, with an emphasis on accessibility.
- We will continue traffic calming in problematic city streets and create safer streets and routes near schools.
- We will reduce the price of the first resident parking permit.
- We will make the first subscriber parking permit more advantageous for Senec residents.
- As a priority, we will connect the city with its satellite areas by pavements and cycle paths.
- We will prepare major transport changes based on measurements and data and publish the results.
- We will expand public transport and integrate it into the integrated transport system of the Bratislava Region.

SAFETY
“The city police must have authority and be present where people need them.”
PROBLEM
Safety is not just about the number of offences. It depends on a professional city police force, its authority, well-set priorities, lighting, and the city’s ability to address problematic places systematically.
OUR GOAL
A professional city police force with natural authority and a safer public space.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
We will strengthen the professionalism, expertise, professional authority and independence of the Senec City Police in the performance of their duties.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will set clear safety priorities.
- We will create a city safety map and introduce active measures to improve the situation in the city.
- We will ensure a functional camera system and expand it where it is genuinely needed.
- We will strengthen cooperation among the Senec City Police, the Police Force and residents.
- Every year, we will publish an overview of safety priorities and implemented measures.
- We will increase the activity of the city and the Senec City Police in the prevention and tackling of petty crime, theft and drug-related problems, in close cooperation with the Police Force.
- We will create a public information system for unforeseen crisis situations.
- We will review the state of critical infrastructure and take practical steps to increase the resilience of the population.

SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION
“Every child in Senec should have a place in a quality school.”
PROBLEM
The capacities of schools and kindergartens must keep pace with the number of children and the city’s development. We need to plan them in time and systematically.
OUR GOAL
We will ensure sufficient capacity, higher-quality education, and the modern functioning of municipal schooling.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
The new primary school will be one of the city’s highest investment priorities.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will focus on implementing the new primary school project.
- We will improve the organisation of school canteens and create conditions for dietary meals.
- Every year, we will assess the development of school and kindergarten capacities so that the city can respond to further growth.
- We will establish a leisure-time centre for extracurricular activities.

YOUTH AND SPORT
“Young people must have space in Senec to live, play sport and take part in decision-making.”
PROBLEM
Young people lack their own space and the opportunity to take a stronger part in the life of the city. Sport needs fair support and additional infrastructure.
OUR GOAL
A city that creates conditions for young people, sports clubs and recreational sport.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
Together with sports federations, we will support the construction of a multifunctional sports hall and sports facilities in Senec.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will enter into negotiations with sports federations and associations and create a joint project for a multifunctional sports hall.
- We will strengthen support for children’s and youth sport.
- We will set clear, fair and transparent rules for municipal sports grants.
- We will connect schools with sports clubs and expand opportunities for sport for the wider public.
- We will support outreach youth work as a form of prevention against pathological behaviour and drug addiction.
- We will improve access to psychological and social support for young people.
- We will establish a youth parliament to strengthen young people’s participation in city governance and create community centres for young people.

HEALTHCARE
“A resident of Senec should have access to ordinary healthcare directly in Senec.”
PROBLEM
For several health services, the people of Senec still have to travel outside the city. The availability of doctors and outpatient clinics does not match the needs of the city and the wider region.
OUR GOAL
We will build Senec into a natural centre of quality outpatient and healthcare services for the city and the region.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
We will complete the construction of the new polyclinic and ensure its professional and efficient management.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will complete the construction of the new polyclinic.
- We will establish high-quality, modern operation and management of the polyclinic.
- We will establish a municipal service for transport to medical appointments for seniors and residents with reduced mobility.
- We will create conditions for the arrival of needed doctors and healthcare services.
- We will create a clear and regularly updated list of available healthcare services in the city.

SENIORS AND COMMUNITY
“In Good Senec, everyone who needs help should be able to find it.”
PROBLEM
As the city grows, natural ties between people may weaken. Seniors also face loneliness, difficulties with access to services, the digital world, and barriers in public space.
OUR GOAL
Stronger communities and a city that helps seniors remain active, independent and connected to other people for as long as possible.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
We will create a support system for seniors and community life that brings together information, activities, assistance and easier contact with the city.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will introduce a policy of connecting intergenerational and cultural communities.
- We will introduce outreach social work to connect civic communities and help seniors.
- We will strengthen senior clubs, education, community activities and intergenerational projects.
- We will create a clear information point on services, assistance and activities for seniors.
- We will ensure support for seniors in using digital services.
- We will systematically remove barriers in public space.
- We will regularly assess residents’ needs and adapt city policies to those needs.
- We will restore a simple tool such as “Message to the Mayor” for suggestions, problems and proposals.

ENVIRONMENT
“More shade, more greenery, more water — less overheating of the city.”
PROBLEM
Senec needs more functional greenery, shade and water in public space. A major problem is the further expansion of the landfill, which we consider unacceptable.
OUR GOAL
A greener, more resilient and more pleasant Senec.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
We will oppose the expansion of the landfill and protect Senec from further environmental burdens.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will intensify the planting of functional greenery and create more natural shade.
- When reconstructing public spaces, we will use modern solutions for rainwater retention.
- We will improve conditions for waste sorting and strengthen information and awareness-raising about proper sorting.
- We will maintain a clear stance against further expansion of the landfill.
- We will create conditions for establishing community gardens and orchards in residential areas.

TOURISM AND CULTURE
“The Sunny Lakes and culture should be the pride of Senec throughout the year.”
PROBLEM
The Sunny Lakes, the synagogue and the city’s cultural potential can be used better. Tourism and culture need professional coordination, investment and strategic cooperation. A strategic plan for using the Sunny Lakes for the needs of Senec’s residents and the professional development of tourism is missing.
OUR GOAL
An attractive city with high-quality Sunny Lakes, vibrant culture and modern tourism management.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
We will create a tourism development strategy focused on revitalising the Sunny Lakes area and reviving visitor numbers.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will launch the transformation of Správa cestovného ruchu Senec s. r. o. into a contributory organisation.
- We will improve the quality of the Sunny Lakes through systematic investment in the area and services.
- We will involve local tourism stakeholders in planning its further development.
- In cooperation with the Bratislava Self-Governing Region, we will make better use of the synagogue premises.
- We will create better conditions for community and independent culture and new events.
- We will establish an event, “Europe Day” in Senec, which will culturally connect international communities.
- We will establish a summer dance festival in the Sunny Lakes area.

RESPONSIBLE FINANCES AND A WELL-FUNCTIONING CITY
“The municipal office should serve citizens, and the city should manage every euro wisely.”
PROBLEM
Every euro spent on inefficient operation is a euro missing from investments. At the same time, citizens need to know what the city uses their money for, how major projects are progressing, and why the city takes important decisions.
OUR GOAL
A more efficient and transparent municipal office, more money for investment, less unnecessary administration, and services oriented towards citizens.
★ MAIN COMMITMENT
We will prepare a city budget focused on investment and development.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- We will find reserves in operating expenditure and create more room for investment.
- We will create a simple online overview of major municipal investments — cost, source of financing, timeline and current status.
- We will make contracts, orders and major expenditures accessible in an understandable and easily searchable form.
- Every year, we will publish the status of implementation of the election programme.
- We will involve AI and automation in processes where they genuinely save time or costs.
- We will reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, simplify citizens’ most frequent procedures and create a personalised web portal for citizens.
- We will actively use EU funds and other external sources to finance the city’s development.
- We will improve the coordination of excavations and repairs so that the same places are not dug up repeatedly for no reason.

Our commitments will be publicly verifiable
This programme is not merely a list of pre-election wishes.
It is a set of concrete commitments for which we are ready to take responsibility.
Every year, we will publicly evaluate their fulfilment. For each priority, we will show what has been completed, what is in progress and what has not been completed, and explain why.
After four years, we want to be able to show every resident of Senec the results of our work openly.
